Ray Frenden reviews the too-cheap-to-be-true Monoprice graphics tablets. How do they stack up to industry standard Wacoms?
After spending a week with the 6.25“x10” Monoprice, my Yiynova and Cintiq remain unplugged and I gave my Intuos away to a friend. The Monoprice tracks subtle pressure variances and small movements with less lag and more crisp fidelity than any of the others. It is, put crudely, fucking awesome, in both OSX Lion and Windows 7 x64.

Can this somehow be a print I can hang on my face
I had a theory that these two are actually brothers. Ryan Gosling IS Stuntman Bob! Makes sense.

Trust me though. His rates are super reasonable and he is brilliant. Don’t be a spaz.
CAST INTERVIEW:
Name: Keith Brooks
Character: The TrainerSperling: You’re voicing the Trainer in MTGTM, what attracted you to this character?
Brooks: Molly. She’s such a wonderful person and is so passionate about the things she does, and once her heart is in a project she becomes fully invested, whether it’s hers or not. It’s that dedication and interest that draws people to projects. And the script was funny as hell. And I get to cuss. So…yeah those things…singing…being a puppet…lots of stuff…S: How will you tap into the character to create the right voice?
B: I don’t know yet. We’re still kind of early into the whole process, or at least I am. I haven’t figured it out. I like to a different thing with each character to find them, but I haven’t decided what approach I’m going to do for this. I honestly am thinking about getting my newborn Goddaughter and making funny voices in front of her and see which one she laughs at the hardest. That’s my $180,000 education going to work.S: Have you ever loaned your voice to a puppet before?
B: I have. But only small stuff. Currenlty I’m working on a version of the story of Perseus and Medusa in which I voice Perseus. But this is definitely my first puppet show based on a trading card game.S: Do you have a favorite Muppet?
B: This is the hardest question I’ve ever been asked. I love the Muppets. Ugh…I’m going to go all high fidelity and give you my top 5. Kermit (without question), Pepe the Prawn, Bobo the Bear, Statler and WaldorfS: Besides acting, you recently took a turn directing – how was that experience?
B: Exhausting.S: What do you enjoy most about working in the Atlanta film industry?
B: Seeing this one dude named Chris Sailor, who I get to make fun of. That’s probably my favorite part. Then it would be the diversity of the parts I get to take. There’s always so many different types of projects going on, it provides a lot of variety. Thirdly would be the chicks. Cause hell yeah, the variety.S: You’ve been able to do some traveling for work, do you prefer to work in a new environment or stick close to home?
B: It depends on if I have a bed or not:) I’m down for whatever. Normally when you’re traveling for a part it’s less stressful. I don’t have to worry about doing multiple things at once, so that’s a relief. But at home there’s a comfort. But at the end of the day work is work, and I like to roll with the punches.S: If you could pick any role you’ve ever played for your highlight reel, what would it be?
B: Super hard question. I’ve spent a long time acting, and a good portion of that was stage, and hardly any of it was ever filmed. I wish I had some of that stuff. But at the same time, they are all my children. It’s hard to pick among them. Plus I can’t stand to watch myself, so I’ll just be complicated and say I couldn’t. I’m sorry. I’ll buy you some pie though to make it up for you.S: What are some of the projects you’ve been involved in recently?
B: I recently directed a fan film entitled Deadpool: A Typical Tuesday. It should be out this summer. I’m in a romantic comedy sort of thing, called Otis. I’m a man who incinerates animals for a living, down on his luck, and is drinking a lot. Fun ensues. A film called The Return of Brimsleys Walk in which I play The Sleep Monster. And was just cast as the voice of Perseus in the puppet film Maiden to Monster.S: What’s your next move?
B: Probably Rook to Bishop.
